Airlink is a privately owned, full-service regional airline headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa. Established on June 11, 1992, the airline has grown to become a vital player in Southern Africa's aviation landscape, offering both scheduled and charter services across the region.
A Legacy of Growth and Independence
Originally founded by Rodger Foster and Barrie Webb as Link Airways, the airline underwent a significant transformation in 1995 when it was officially launched as SA Airlink. In 2020, the airline rebranded to Airlink, marking a new era of independence following the restructuring of South African Airways.

In a significant move to bolster its regional presence, Airlink acquired a 40% stake in FlyNamibia in 2022, enhancing connectivity between Namibia and Southern Africa. Further expanding its reach, Qatar Airways acquired a 25% stake in Airlink in 2024, signaling a strengthened partnership and increased access to international markets.
