Z Air, formerly known as EZ Air, is a regional airline based in the Caribbean Netherlands, specifically in Bonaire. Established in May 2000, the airline has been serving the Dutch Caribbean islands with scheduled and charter flights, as well as air ambulance services.
Origins and Evolution
Initially founded as EZ Air, the airline began operations with flights between Bonaire and Curaçao. Over the years, it expanded its network to include destinations such as Aruba, Sint Eustatius, and Colombia. In October 2023, EZ Air rebranded to Z Air to avoid legal issues with the British company easyGroup, which owns the rights to the "EZ" trademark .

As of early 2025, Z Air operates a fleet comprising:
1 Embraer ERJ 140LR: A regional jet with a seating capacity of approximately 50 passengers.
3 Saab 340B: Turboprop aircraft accommodating around 34 passengers each.
1 Learjet 31A and 1 Learjet 35A: Used for air ambulance services, primarily for medical evacuations to Colombia .
These aircraft are based at Flamingo International Airport in Bonaire and Curaçao International Airport, facilitating efficient connectivity across the region.

Since 2012, Z Air has been providing dedicated air ambulance services using Learjet aircraft. These services are crucial for medical evacuations from the Caribbean islands to Colombia, ensuring timely and safe transportation for patients in need of specialized care
