History and Operations
Founded in January 2020 as a joint venture between LASER Airlines (Venezuela) and SERVAIR Dominicana, RED Air received its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) in June 2021 and commenced operations in November 2021 .
Fleet and Destinations
As of January 2025, RED Air operates a fleet of two McDonnell Douglas MD-82 aircraft, each configured to accommodate 149 passengers . The airline serves the following destinations:

Safety Incident
On June 21, 2022, RED Air Flight 203, operating a McDonnell Douglas MD-82, experienced a landing gear collapse upon arrival at Miami International Airport. The aircraft caught fire, but all 140 occupants survived, with four sustaining minor injuries .
