About Sunrise Airways
Sunrise Airways: Connecting the Caribbean with Haitian Heart
Founded in 2010 by Haitian entrepreneur and pilot Philippe Bayard, Sunrise Airways has emerged as a beacon of regional connectivity in the Caribbean. Headquartered in Port-au-Prince, the airline commenced operations in 2011, initially offering charter flights before launching scheduled services in 2012.
Sunrise Airways' mission is to bridge the Caribbean's diverse cultures and communities. With a fleet of 10 aircraft, including Embraer EMB 120ER Brasilia, Embraer ERJ-145, British Aerospace Jetstream 32, Cessna Caravan 208, and ATR 72-500, the airline efficiently serves both high-demand routes and smaller, less accessible destinations.
The airline's network encompasses nine domestic and international destinations, connecting four cities in Haiti—Port-au-Prince, Cap-Haïtien, Jérémie, and Les Cayes—with key international hubs such as Havana, Santiago de Cuba, Santo Domingo, Panama City, Pointe-à-Pitre, Saint John's, Roseau, Basseterre, Castries, and Philipsburg.
Sunrise Airways has also established strategic partnerships to enhance its service offerings. The airline has a codeshare agreement with Cubana de Aviación and interline agreements with Hahn Air and Air Caraïbes, facilitating seamless travel across the region.
Beyond transportation, Sunrise Airways is committed to promoting Haiti as a vibrant cultural and tourist destination. By offering competitive fares and reliable service, the airline aims to make air travel more accessible to both tourists and residents, thus stimulating local tourism and business.
With a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction, Sunrise Airways continues to play a pivotal role in connecting the Caribbean, embodying the spirit of unity and progress in the region.
